Its been a horror week. With several cups of tea going down the gulp, i was keeping an eye on TV channels, switching them over and over again to get the most latest news and all this while i was just praying that this all should end soon. Well finally after 60 hours of deadly fight the terror drama ended with a sudden realisation amongst everyone that How Great Our Army Is. Politicians across party lines were singing praises for the great heroic and brave act of our NSG. Mind you, these are the same politicians who just a few months before were not concerned to lend an ear to the demands of Forces for a better pay scale in Sixth Pay Commission.
Like always, immediately after the hostage drama ended, our politicians were on the streets like spoilt kids, who know nothing more than baseless allegations and muddy fights and this was the time everyone in the country said " Enough is Enough".
I happen to be at a couple of talk shows and was excited to see the masses in a frivolous mood against politicians but was said to note that instead of going to the root of the problems, people had limited their thinking to only "Beat them out", "Get them on streets" etc. Lets understand one thing these politicians are there just because of us. How many of us today even have voter id cards, how many of us do have any inclination towards contesting elections and if not contest the at least campaign for the most suitable candidate in our constituency.
Let me remind everyone that its us, who have taken pride in being unpolitical and hence we see such carnage. We don't want want to participate in the Change Process but still want a change. We don't want to Vote and still want Clean and capable Leaders.
The time has come friends for us all to get into politics, actively and aggressively as you can't bring change till you trigger it off. So lets actionate on what Vivekanand said years before"WAKE UP & RISE" as till the time you and me change, no one , i repeat NO ONE is going to change and the next time there are terror strikes and we meet again in office corridors, on Internet or in some TV Show , if at all we survive, nothing would have changes except for a little loud CRIB---SOMEONE HELP....
